When we are in a dark spot, we often think, the Lord is far from me. My darkness gets darker still because God’s light can’t get through to me. In order to get into God’s light, I have to navigate through my darkness on my own. Wonderfully God’s Word says something entirely different. Micah 7:8, “…when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.” God is light to me when I am in my darkness. I don’t need to navigate my darkness to get to him. His light eliminates my darkness and leads me to himself.
