ABIDE

“I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit…”- Jesus (John 15:5)

What is Abide?

From its beginning, this discipleship program has focused on providing practical tools and training that, by God’s grace, enable believers to walk in freedom, peace, and joy as disciples of Jesus. Our aim is to take the “ought to-dos” from Christian ministry and complete them with the “how to-dos.” We invite you to come set aside a period of intentional time to find refreshment in Jesus, growth in Christ-likeness, and equipping to draw others into The Way of Jesus.

Abide had its beginnings as the Center for Discipleship (CFD) based out of the Peachtree City, Georgia, Apostolic Christian Church. Now existing as a ministry of ACCFS, Abide seeks to encourage spiritual growth in its participants as it serves and supports attendees of the Apostolic Christian Church of America (ACCA).

Abide will equip you to:

  • Develop a healthy concept of God.
  • Experience deep intimacy with Jesus Christ.
  • Acquire a Gospel-centered worldview.
  • Develop a healthy spiritual, mental, and physical lifestyle.
  • Overcome insecurity and discouragement.
  • Live out a Spirit-led, grace-fueled Christianity.

Student Testimonies

  • “The discipleship program has helped me take a step back, and look at how Jesus walked; how he lived his life. He sought solitude, He knew and used scripture in spiritual warfare, He prayed often, and fasted. These tools, some of which I was taught as a child, and had let go as unimportant, are ways now I can identify with the life of and draw near to my savior.” – Michaela
  • “It has been really good to pause, reflect, and make a plan on how to live a more abundant and obedient life.” – Tom
  • “I’m overwhelmed and really feel so much peace and FREEDOM! I feel at rest and confident that God will keep showing up in my life when I get home as I see the Gospel, God, and myself more clearly now.” – Madi
  • “This was so foundational for me. I needed this continually on my heart… Realizing that God has always been a God who speaks to His people. That He meets me where I am.” – Lydia

“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the age. Amen.” Matt. 28:19-20
