Kaleb started working at ACCFS in 2014 and currently serves as a marriage and family therapist. He is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist having received his master’s degree in family studies and human services with specialization in marriage and family therapy from Kansas State University in 2013. During his graduate program, Kaleb completed course requirements to receive a graduate certificate in conflict resolution. He received his bachelor’s degree in grain science and management in 2001. Kaleb spent 10 years working for Wenger Manufacturing Inc. in Sabetha, KS, where he served in various capacities prior to being called into the counseling field.
Kaleb has clinical experience in a variety of settings including a university counseling center (serving students with various needs including adjustment concerns, relationship issues, anxiety and depression); a church-based premarital counseling program (providing premarital counseling, clinical assessment, and relationship psycho-education); and the Kansas State University family center (providing individual, couples, and family therapy). He has received specialized training in the treatment of trauma and PTSD (EMDR).
Kaleb has had the privilege of working with individuals, couples, and families since 2012. His primary specialty is with couple relationships. He has completed specialized training in Level 1 & 2 of Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT). The Gottman Method includes a thorough assessment of the couple relationship with integrated research-based interventions grounded in the Sound Relationship House Theory. Kaleb has also completed specialized training in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT) which is an approach to couples therapy that integrates attachment theory and bonding to understand and guide therapy interventions. He seeks to provide collaborative and empathic care. He is passionate about moving couples from a place of painful disconnection to new interactional patterns that lead to secure bonding and connection.
Kaleb is a professional member of the American Association of Christian Counselors (AACC) and the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy (AAMFT).
Kaleb and his wife, Angela, have four children and are active members of the Apostolic Christian Church of Washington, IL where Kaleb also serves as a minister and deacon.
