Biography Video

Brian started working at ACCFS in 2009. He is a licensed clinical professional counselor (LCPC) having received his master’s degree in counseling from Western Illinois University in 2007. Prior to this he received a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Illinois State University in 2005.

During his graduate training he worked at the Antioch Group serving adults, adolescents, and children with various needs. After graduating, he worked at Lutheran Social Services of Illinois as a mental health counselor until 2009. During this time, he worked with children who were in foster care along with parents who had their children taken out of their care and were working toward reuniting with their children. Brian is trained in EMDR.

Brian began his clinical work helping children and families who were involved in foster care. This developed a passion for helping children and providing support to the family unit. His interest in children and families has led to pursing training in trauma and attachment. Brian has a heart for helping individuals of all ages develop meaningful relationship both with others as well as the Lord. It is Brian’s hope to help point individuals to the abundant life found in Jesus Christ.

He is a member of the American Association of Christian Counselors.

Brian and his wife, Alison, have three children and are active members of the Apostolic Christian Church of Washington, IL.
