ADHD Coaching for Adults

ADHD coaching is an intervention for adults with ADHD or ADHD-like symptoms. Coaches collaborate with their clients to address personal goals while directly targeting the core impairments of ADHD. Coaches and clients may develop skills like planning, time management, goal setting, organization, or problem-solving, aiming to help clients recognize and overcome challenges resulting from ADHD symptoms. ADHD coaches address difficulties in academics, the workplace, emotional regulation, and interpersonal relations. Through encouragement, feedback, practical suggestions to specific challenges, and accountability, ADHD coaches help people with ADHD meet goals in their daily lives. Coaching sessions focus on helping clients build practical skills and initiate meaningful change, tailored to each client’s individual needs.

ADHD coaching can be extremely beneficial for adults with ADHD. Research has shown that over several months of coaching, individuals have been found to develop increased executive functioning and self-determination skills, two areas hard hit by ADHD. ADHD coaching helps clients be better able to take responsibility for their actions, manage stress, improve time management skills, and learn more effective ways to improve concentration. With the right support, adults with ADHD can thrive, navigating daily demands with greater confidence, clarity, and control.
