Mentoring Plan Worksheet

As mentors set up a mentor/mentee relationship, there are several key components to consider. First of all, time availability for both must be determined. The relationship may not be effective if either party feels rushed or overloaded. Additionally, some thought and effort needs to be put into what might be an expected outcome of the mentoring relationship. Objectives for specific meetings and overall goals for the relationship are necessary to help determine if the mentoring relationship is effective. Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 29:18 “Where there is no vision, the people perish…” We could say the same for a mentoring relationship and that without vision and goal setting, it will not last either. This worksheet helps a mentor and mentee organize meeting dates and times. It also is used to establish goals, objectives, and boundaries of the mentor/mentee relationship.
