Setting Up a Church Resource Library
Discover some ideas of what a church resource library might look like.
Getting started:
1) Place
Find a place in your church where you could set up a resource library. This library can serve many purposes and the space should reflect the purpose that you determine is most appropriate for your church (reading room, checkout library, bible distribution, church ministry information, etc.). This could be an extra room, a bookshelf, a bulletin board, a shelf, a table, etc. Be creative and find what works best in your setting.

2) Books
Your church resource library could have a handful of sample books for people to reference. You may also offer the ability to check out books from the church library.
Need help knowing what books to include? Here is a list of some books that you might consider including.
3) Handouts
Your church resource library could also include printable handouts on a variety of topics. ACCFS has a myriad of article that cover a wide range of topics available on our website. Check out this recommended list or browse our website for relevant topics. Each article has a printable version attached to the bottom.
4) Other Media
What other media could you include in your library?
- Encouraging Scripture Cards
- Reference Bookmarks
- God’s Promises Bookmark
- QR Code Posters
- Videos playing on mounted screens
- Gospel Tracts
The opportunities are endless! Take time to consider the needs & interests of your church as you work to put this together.
