  • What book or author has most influenced you? Why?
  • Who is your favorite relative? Why?
  • What career choice appealed to you as a child?
  • What was the most dramatic event in your childhood or youth?
  • What achievements have brought you the greatest satisfaction?
  • What are your three favorite recreational activities?
  • What has been the biggest disappointment in your life?
  • Do you have any regrets at this point in your life? Share one or two.
  • What were the major turning points in your life? 

Building Connection 

  • Describe your relationship with the Lord currently. Where can I help you grow?
  • What is your favorite quote from the last month?
  • What caused you to laugh the hardest in the last month?
  • What caused you private sorrow recently?
  • If you could fix something by snapping your fingers, what would that be right now?
  • What do you look forward to next week? Next year?
  • Share some “mountain-top” experiences you’ve had with Christ.
  • What is one of your favorite worship songs right now? Why?
  • What has been a meaningful scripture to you lately? Why?
  • What do you consider your most attractive and unattractive physical features?
  • How has your view of God changed over time? What is the main lesson you have learned in God’s character since becoming a believer? 
  • What is an important virtue or character trait you are known for? Is this something natural for you or something you have worked on over time and with God’s grace?  
  • What are your views on family roles? Are your views more traditional or contemporary? 
  • What does your prayer life look like? Is it more casual or structured? Why is prayer important to you? Have you had unanswered prayers in your life? What are they?  
  • What are your beliefs about tithing and giving a portion of your income away? How does this look for each of you right now and what does it look like once you become a couple?  

What Do You Think?  

  • Do you tend to be more cautious or adventurous? What is the scariest thing you have ever done?  
  • What is one feel-good, human-interest story that you have heard or read lately? What about it touched you? 
  • What languages have you learned or tried? If none, would you like to ever a learn a language and if so, which one and why?  
  • What parts of the world do you know the most and least about? Why? 
  • What are your thoughts on the possibility of moving to another country? Which one and for how long?  
  • If you could choose one major world problem to go away, which one would you choose and why? 
  • What does social media mean to you? What is a healthy use of social media and what is not a healthy use?  
  • If there were one skill or talent you’d like to learn, what would that be and why?  
  • What hobby or recreational activity do you most enjoy? Could some of these activities be blended going forward as a couple? How so?
  • If you knew you could not fail, what is one thing you would like to try to do?
